Q: WHAT ARE LASERS?

A: Devices which emit a high intensity single wave length of colored light beam that is selectively attracted to a particular target such as a blood vessel or a brown spot.
Q: CAN WRINKLES BE DIMINISHED WITH LASER TREATMENTS?

A: Yes, the V-beam laser heats up the collagen causing an injury which results in the release of wound healing chemicals that stimulate new collagen production to soften fine lines.
Q: IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL EFFECTIVE?

A: Yes, permanent reduction of at least seventy-five percent of hairs can be achieved with a series of five to six treatments. Maintenance treatments about every six months are usually necessary.
Q: WHAT ARE MY TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR REMOVING SPIDER VEINS?

A: Spider veins on the face can be treated with our Candela V-Beam™ or Candela Gentle Yag™ lasers. Spider veins on the legs can be treated with the Candela Gentle Yag™ Laser or by the injections of a sclerosing chemical which dries up the vessels.
Q: WHAT KIND OF FILLER SUBSTANCES DO YOU USE FOR WRINKLES?

A: Restylane® and collagen are both used to fill in lines around the mouth as well as deep frown lines. Restylane® gives an immediate effect but may cause redness and swelling for several days. It lasts about four to six months. Collagen
Q: WHAT IS BOTOX®?

A: BOTOX® is a toxin derived from bacteria which is injected in a very low safe dosage to block the action of nerves stimulating muscles. When injected into the forehead, frown lines, or crows feet, wrinkle lines can be eliminated for up to four or five months.
Q: WHAT IS Blu-U®?

A: This is a device with more than two thousand light emitting diodes which emit a low intensity light of a single wave length which has been found to chemically change the skin's fibroblasts so they produce increased collagen and less of the enzyme which breaks down collagen. The net effect is smoother skin texture, tightened pores and softened fine lines.
